Bajaj Energy Submits Papers with the Market Regulator SEBI to Launch IPO worth INR 5,450 Crore

Bajaj Energy (BEL) is going to launch an Initial Public Offer (IPO) worth INR 5,450 crore which comprises a fresh issue of around INR 5,150 Crore & also an offer for sale around INR 300 crore by the promoter Bajaj Power Ventures.

Right now, Bajaj Power Ventures Pvt Ltd. owns 100% stake in the company – Balaji Energy.

BEL has a track record of financing, developing and operating thermal power plants in India. Bajaj Energy (BEL) intends to acquire 1,980 MW power plant from LPGCL from the issue proceeds.

The company’s corporate promoter is BPVPL (Bajaj Power Ventures) and Shishir Bajaj, Kushagra Bajaj, Minakshi Bajaj and Apporva Bajaj are individual promoters.

Edelweiss Financial Services, SBI Capital Markets, IIFL Holdings and IDBI Capital Markets & Securities ar lead managers to this public issue.
