The shares of reliance power have rallied around 12% intraday on 11th July because of the announcement of the recast of loan for the samalkot project. Do you know what’s interest rate per annum? Only 2.65% per annum.

The Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group Company said, “Samalkot Project recasted INR 2,430 crore (~ 347 million USD) loan from US”. The company also said that the amortizing repayment schedule has been also converted into bullet payment & the timeline for loan repayment has been also extended to June 2022.

Reliance Power is in the advanced stages of relocating the Samalkot modules to Bangladesh & development of Bangladesh project.
